Flamingods are a four-piece alternative rock band from London and Bahrain founded by Kamal Rasool in 2010. Their sound has been described as 'Exotic Psychedelia'.
Flamingods performed live at Kex Hostel in Reykjavik during Iceland Airwaves 2018, including "Marigold".

This KEXP Song of the Day and the album’s lead single, “Marigold,” is a perfect taste of the sun-soaked and funky sounds they’ll be showcasing on the record. KEXP got a super early sneak peek of the song in 2017, when Flamingods played an extended version of “Marigold” live at the Halle de la Courrouze in Rennes, France, during Trans Musicales 2017.

Inspired largely by the disco, funk and psychedelic sounds coming out of the Middle East and South Asia in the 70s, the album channels these influences through a vision soaked in mysticism, positivity and sun-drenched imagery.
