#38 on Atticus' 2018 Countdown! Melody Prochet recorded this album in a suburb outside Stockholm with friends Reine Fiske (Dungen) and Fredrik Swahn (The Amazing): "This whole Swedish adventure restored my confidence as a musician and as an adult woman in a mad world. It had slowly, deeply been destroyed the last few years, but also I realised it was a deep child's wound that kept being triggered when people had inelegant, judgmental or mischievous words and opinions regarding my musical and private life."

"Bon Voyage" is the second album by French artist Melody Prochet. She doesn’t know if she will ever tour with the album – she is pregnant with her first child and needs “all my time and energy for love and building my family”.:https://www.theguardian.com/music/2018/jul/13/melody-prochet-interview-bon-voyage

Epic album opener, "Cross My Heart," winds and bends through familiar territory before plunging into a Stereolab-influenced breakdown and folding into a cascade of strings until the track naturally fades out.

Cross My Heart" is one of the most ambitious tracks from Bon Voyage, a delicatessen of string swept psychedelic funk layered like one of David Axelrod's most decadent compositions. It inspires Prochet to switch from English to French, from singing about the sadness of "seasons passing by" to uncovering "une civilisation perdue / au fond d'un puit" ("a lost civilization at the bottom of a well.")

When Melody Prochet's previous project My Bee's Garden supported Tame Impala on their European tour in 2010, Prochet collaborated with Kevin Parker to produce her new solo material as Melody's Echo Chamber. The material was recorded in Parker's makeshift studio in Perth, Australia and Prochet's grandmother's seaside home in the south of France. The self-titled debut album was released on Fat Possum Records in the Fall of 2012. This new album, Bon Voyage, was written, performed and produced primarily by Prochet, with contributions from musicians Fredrik Swahn (the Amazing), Reine Fiske (the Amazing and Dungen), and Gustav Ejstes (Dungen).
