ESG was formed by the Scroggins sisters in the South Bronx in the late 70’s, as a result of their mother buying them instruments in hopes to “keep them out of trouble.” “Moody and “UFO” in particular became popular with house DJS and the band has crossed genres, including hip hop and dance-punk. Trouser Press called them, "one of the most dynamic bands that New York could offer at the top of the '80s."
