The second full-length release from Montreal based duo Dan Boeckner and Alexei Perry. The album was inspired by East European tour culture in which bouncers had the authority to turn away patrons based solely on their appearance, an act known as "face control". Two Weeks
by Grizzly Bear
(157 plays) | (1 fan)

"'Two Weeks' sort of crawls by like a gloriously ornate float in an Easter parade. A forward piano plink marks out the chords while the arrangement feels loose and unhurried, packed with details but with every sound seeming to tumble and land in its right place. Ed Droste completely inhabits the song with his honeyed croon, singing about distance, longing, patience...": https://pitchfork.com/reviews/tracks/11250-two-weeks/ "Two Weeks" features back up vocals from Beach House's Victoria Legrand! Stillness is the Move
by Dirty Projectors
(149 plays) | (0 fans)

From the fifth studio album by Brooklyn band Dirty Projectors. The album title translates to "killer whale". Album producer David Longstreth shared, "One of my ideas for the album was to start, sort of, as a gift or homage to each one, to try to explode their temperaments into individual numbers. I was trying to widen the temperament of the band a little bit, to be Dirty Projectors but also have these new, different sort of flowers within the bouquet of the sound."
