Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever will perform in Seattle at Neumos on Thursday, August 18th. Here's Live Video from Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever's 2018 KEXP In-Studio, hosted by Cheryl Waters: https://bit.ly/39D2KRk. This song takes sharp aim at the ignorance and self-entitlement present within Australian culture, the hoarding of wealth by the country’s elite and the slow pace of progress. It’s “a little snapshot of living in a place at a time when it feels like there is no-one at the wheel”, according to the band’s Tom Russo. https://bit.ly/3Cg76rN https://youtu.be/SQKzzGiZ6Gg https://rollingblackoutscoastalfever.bandcamp.com/ http://www.rollingblackoutsband.com/

An alternative rock band formed in 2015 in Mendoza, Argentina. The band is made up of Laura Velazquez (vocals, rhythm guitar, keytar), Camil Guevara (lead guitar, backing vocals), Lina Elias (bass, backing vocals), and Charly Goudailliez (drums). They come from- and represent- the enormous transfeminist and underground queer music movement that boomed in Argentina in 2010. Their music draws in elements from punk and surf rock, with influences like Le Tigre and Pixies. Primera Temporada (2015, Discos Rebeldes) and Depreciosa (2019, Goza Records) are their two studio albums, with singles like “Reina”, “Vómito”, “Me escabié” and “Novias”. KEXP is going to be Live from Buenos Aires, Argentina this September 19th through 23rd! Check out our lineup at https://www.kexp.org/read/2022/7/1/announcing-kexp-live-from-argentina-full-lineup/

Todavia is the blissful yet heartbreaking nugaze creation of multi-instrumentalist Rhyan Riesgo. Todavia, the Spanish word for, “still/yet,” is an intentional word that can be used in many different contexts’, with double meanings in a multitude of different placements. The twin theme is one Riesgo explores in both musicianship & lyric-writing - double entendres within songs exploring gender identity & sexuality, and the duality and struggle of finding performer within producer. https://todaviamusic.bandcamp.com/

Phoebe Bridgers will be performing at Marymoor Park August 23rd & 24th! Get your tickets here: https://bit.ly/3Q6GAXP "This song is about impostor syndrome. About being in Japan for the first time, somewhere I’ve always wanted to go, and playing my music to people who want to hear it, feeling like I’m living someone else's life. I dissociate when bad things happen to me, but also when good things happen. It can feel like I’m performing what I think I’m supposed to be like." https://bit.ly/3vstSIt Phoebe Bridgers performed a Live on KEXP at Home session in August 2020. https://youtu.be/WekaPReaJBU https://phoebebridgers.bandcamp.com/
