They have also shared two new songs from the album: “Bubblegum Infinity” and “Dread & Butter.” Frontman Jack McEwan states in a press release: “A lot of the album is about trying to work out what the fuck is going on, in general life and obviously the period of time we’ve all found ourselves dormant in for the past two years. I started reading a few quotes from philosophers because, hey! They might know what’s going on, but mostly it was a bunch of cleverly worded gibberish that was drenched in self turmoil that thankfully, serendipitously, unbeknownst to me was the thing I found comfort in. Nigerian-born London singer Obongjayar will release his long-awaited debut album 'Some Nights I Dream Of Doors.' Obongjayar co-wrote album opener “Try” with producer Barney Lister. The song has a simple, direct melody and a beautifully bittersweet vocal from Obongjayar. It’s about staring down a hostile, uncertain future and doing your best to thrive anyway. Lister surrounds Obongjayar’s voice with horns and drums, but all of that sometimes drops away to let that voice dominate. Mitski's 'Laurel Hell' is out today!!! The video for "Stay Soft" is directed by Maegan Houang, who previously co-directed the video for “The Only Heartbreaker.” Houang said in a statement: “This video is heavily inspired by Romanticism and paintings and artwork from the Victorian era. Like the lyrics of the song ‘Stay Soft,’ paintings from that era have a gentle quality, but they still evoke a certain feeling of unexplored darkness and danger. The Black Keys return to the Pacific Northwest for the Dropout Boogie Tour on Sunday, October 2 at Climate Pledge Arena, with Band of Horses and The Velveteers. https://bit.ly/3ooZGwR This bluesy workout opens Black Keys' eighth album, 'Turn Blue.' The duo recorded 30 songs for the record before narrowing it down to 11. Drummer Patrick Carney revealed that the recording of this song determined the structure of the album. "We didn't have a plan, we just kind of went in and recorded stuff and came up with the record," he explained. "It wasn't until we recorded the song 'Weight of Love' that we figured out how we wanted to start the record.
