Bob Dylan plays Jimi's cover version of his song. Since his first performance of the song in 1974, Bob Dylan has performed the Jimi Hendrix version more than 2250 times. Dylan said, "It overwhelmed me, really. He had such talent, he could find things inside a song and vigorously develop them. He found things that other people wouldn’t think of finding in there. He probably improved upon it by the spaces he was using.....Ever since he died I’ve been doing it that way. Strange how when I sing it, I always feel it’s a tribute to him in some kind of way.”: https://dailyreview.com.au/hendrixs-all-along-the-watchtower/

This version of the 1979 Cars song was described as a "random what-the-hell moment" that "shouldn't work, but actually does" by AllMusic reviewer Ned Raggett. -- Support the station where local music matters: https://www.kexp.org/donate/

The Model
by Ride

This is a double love song! Eva loves Kraftwerk (the original) and Cheryl loves Ride -- The Kraftwerk song comes from their classic 1978 release, " The Man-Machine." ‘The Model’ became their biggest hit and the song most directly responsible for influencing the synth-pop of the 80’s. It refers to models, or in this case women who adapt the role of an artificial person, a mannequin, standing immovable whilst being photographed.

Blake Rhein from The Indications said of Bowie's 1975 album: "The entire 'Young Americans' album is an incredible piece of soul music history with brilliant flares of gospel, funk, and disco. The way Bowie is able to use these ingredients and apply them to his own brand of weird-o pop is just amazing." https://bit.ly/3iHC2ZP
