Bomba Estéreo is a Colombian band founded in Bogotá in 2005 by Simón Mejía. The new EP 'Aire' captures three tracks from their forthcoming LP due out on July 2. "The album is about the connection and disconnection of human beings—from the planet, from one’s own self," Bomba Estéreo's singer Li Saumet wrote in a statement. "It’s about how we’re disconnected, more connected to electronic devices and virtual things than real things. So we decided to use the four elements, because they’re part of the equilibrium of human beings.” Their music has been described as "electro tropical" or "psychedelic cumbia." https://www.bombaestereo.com/ |

"Capital Radio" originally appeared on the Capital Radio EP (1977). By late 1978 the original EP had become very rare in the UK, and started to be sold for high prices by collectors and some unscrupulous record shops. Partly to prevent this profiteering from what they had originally intended as a free gift to fans, the group decided to re-record "Capital Radio" for a new extended play record 'The Cost of Living'. This new version, later titled "Capital Radio Two", is longer (3:19) than the original version, mainly because of a protracted intro and outro. https://bit.ly/3w1Bz90 |

'The Cost of Living' EP was released on this day in 1979. The EP was produced by the band and Bill Price, it marked a transition in musical styles for the band, bridging the intensity of their earlier, punky albums with the broader, more American influenced rock and roll yet to come on London Calling, most evident on the folk rocking "Groovy Times" and "Gates of the West". https://bit.ly/3hi4SzV "I Fought the Law" was written in 1966 by Sonny Curtis of the Crickets. This cover version helped gain the Clash their first taste of airplay in the States and is one of the best-known cover versions of the song. https://bit.ly/3tDZMk1 |

pronoun aka Alyse Vellturo shared about this track: “[It's] about the uncomfortable feeling that everyone around you is growing into their own lives while I feel like nothing’s changing within myself. It’s the uncomfortable feeling of not wanting to be on this planet but knowing I really have to put in effort and figure out how to make life work for me. It’s about the uncomfortable but at the same time comforting feeling that others feel the same." https://bit.ly/2RIs7by -- https://musicpronoun.bandcamp.com/album/omg-i-made-it |

"The Darkness That You Fear is a hopeful piece of music. When we found the combination of the different voices worked set to the flow of the music it made us feel optimistic, like it was something we wanted to share.” - Tom Rowlands Read more about the video directed by @Ruffmercy and watch it here: https://youtu.be/b-mGA4V2LK0 |
