Remember Me
by Umi
(3 plays) | (0 fans)

Tierra UMI Wilson is an American singer and songwriter. Wilson was born in Seattle in 1999 to an African-American father and a Japanese mother. Her mother taught her how to read, write, and speak Japanese. "Remember Me" flawlessly highlights the universalism of love lost, the lyrics revealing her to be an exceptionally self-aware and daringly empathetic writer. Along with the release of the song, UMI also debuted "Remember Me" with a music video, highlighting that universalism by portraying couples of different race, class, and sexual orientation. She said, "the message in the video, for me, is that no matter who you love or how you love, we all hurt the same in the end." https://www.onestowatch.com/blog/meet-umi-the-lo-fi-rb-songstress-capturing-the To donate money to support the Asian American community visit: advancingjustice-atlanta.org/donate

The band consists of Yukimi Nagano (vocals, percussion), Erik Bodin (drums), Fredrik Wallin (bass) and Håkan Wirenstrand (keyboards). The band's name was inspired by the "Little Dragon" nickname Nagano earned due to the "fuming tantrums" she used to throw while recording in the studio. "It's a little exaggerated, but there is some truth in it", Nagano said. "But we've grown up a bit, and I realised you can't have a fit every day because otherwise you won't be able to stand each other."
