Changes
by Black Sabbath
(1 play) | (0 fans)

Those of us who are used to the late Charles Bradley's version of this song may not know that it was originally a slow, piano-based piece about the pain of marital breakup. The song is credited to all four Black Sabbath members – vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward. Ozzy said, "With ‘Changes,’ Tony just sat down at the piano and came up with this beautiful riff, I hummed a melody over the top, and Geezer wrote these heartbreaking lyrics about the breakup Bill was going through with his wife at the time. I thought that was brilliant from moment the we recorded it.” --- Read the story behind this song: https://americansongwriter.com/black-sabbath-changes-behind-the-song/
