Cuts You Up
by Peter Murphy
(32 plays) | (0 fans)

In an interview, Murphy, was asked what it is that cuts you up and spits you out. He replied: "The path of discovery, self-knowledge, wisdom... once you feel you have it. Then the path will spit you out or off the way and ruin your assumptions of this path. In fact, a great mighty necessity for those spiritual seekers or so-called 'holy state' desires when getting arrogant."

L.A. Song (Edit)
by Deconstruction
(1 play) | (0 fans)

Deconstruction was a band formed by former Jane's Addiction members, guitarist Dave Navarro and bassist Eric Avery. Originally their former Jane's Addiction bandmate drummer Stephen Perkins was slated to be Deconstruction's drummer but instead joined Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell's new band Porno for Pyros. Drummer Michael Murphy was instead recruited for percussion duties. Deconstruction released only one self-titled album and one promotional single, "L.A. Song", and did not tour due to Eric Avery reportedly being still weary from extensive touring in Jane's Addiction.

Shadow of Fear, the first new Cabaret Voltaire album in 26 years, finds the UK post-punk/proto-industrial act reduced to just one person: founding member Richard H. Kirk. Much of the album’s throwback sound is due to simple technology choices. Kirk’s recent Cabaret Voltaire performances didn’t make use of laptops, but rather stuck to his array of older synths and drum machines. According to the press notes for Shadow, when he tried to upgrade his setup for the recording, his computer melted down. Lilybelle
by The Geraldine Fibbers
(17 plays) | (0 fans)

A 2009 article in Magnet called this album a "lost classic", and said that on the album, "the Fibbers' warped alt-country twang haunted the City of Angels like ghosts of California country’s past, full of grinding violin and poisoned tales of junkies, madness and lost innocence."
