Off The Record
by My Morning Jacket
(153 plays) | (2 fans)

"Z" features a much spacier and more polished sound than previous My Morning Jacket albums, making heavy use of synthesizers throughout and incorporating reggae and dub influences. The heavy reverb that was a defining characteristic of the band's prior recordings is largely absent. The songs on the album are more focused and shorter compared to the band's previous albums.

Disconnection Notice
by Sonic Youth
(80 plays) | (0 fans)

Art director Frank Olinsky led the conception of the cover designs. The young blonde-haired girl pictured to the right on the album's cover was Coco Hayley Moore, Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon's daughter, picking strawberries with her friend, Stella, who was on the left. No title was shown on the cover, just a scrawled "SONIC YOUTH". The three-page, double-sided CD booklet, whose cover featured a reverse color image of the CD cover, included liner notes, photographs and album credits. The back cover depicted the Murray Street street sign. https://bit.ly/360jril

(17 plays) | (0 fans)

Health first gained reputation through a remix of their song “Crimewave” by experimental electronic band Crystal Castles in August 2007. The rendition helped broaden Health's audience in anticipation for their full-length debut a month later released under LovePump United. The band's self-titled album was recorded in L.A.’s noise/experimental venue, The Smell. Health's fourth album, Vol. 4 :: Slaves of Fear, was released February 8, 2019, on Loma Vista. The album was preceded by singles "Slaves of Fear", released in December 2018, and "Feel Nothing", released through the Adult Swim Singles Program in January 2019.

Paper Cup
by Real Estate feat. Sylvan Esso
(26 plays) | (0 fans)

Singer Martin Courtney said this about the song: “Paper Cup is a song about getting older and realizing that this thing that I fell into doing over ten years ago - being a musician, writing songs, being a guy in a band - this may end up being my life’s work. Watching the people around me change and evolve, take on new challenges, and feeling sort of stuck in a rut, in a way. Feeling uncertain of the validity of being an artist in an age of climate change and general political and social unrest around the world."
