John Lennon said that “All You Need Is Love” are the best lyrics he ever wrote. As a performer, writer and co-writer Lennon has had 25 number one singles on the US charts. He disengaged from the music business in 1975 to raise his son Sean, but re-emerged with Ono in 1980 with the album 'Double Fantasy'. In 1987, Lennon was posthumously inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He was twice posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: first in 1988 as a member of the Beatles and again in 1994 as a solo artist. |
