One of the best Bonnie "Prince" Billy records? Gorgeous production on this one. Oldham's latest album, Pond Scum, came out earlier this year. It collected various John Peel sessions from Oldham's career. |

Beautiful, beautiful miserablism courtesy of our friends The Antlers. That dude must be ready to burst into tears at all times. More power to him. Gorgeous record. |

New album from Daughter, Not to Disappear, came out at the top of the year. Received generally good reviews. Rolling Stone didn't like it, but that's alright. |

Cold Cave is the moniker of Wesley Eisold, who has released two albums under that name. Apart from a single collection, no full-length since his 2011 LP Cherish the Light Years. |

Hot new sounds from Porches. Playing 3/25 at the Vera Project with Alex G. Unknown if it'll be some full Porches action or just Aaron Maine and his guitar. Must-see either way. |

It's not just soft, it's Ssoft. Big Spider sure is Back. Track title is "Pfff," but the track sounds more enthusiastic than that. Out on Hush Hush Records. |

Track from the forthcoming Gold Panda record, titled Good Luck And Do Your Best. Out May 27th. One of those classic Gold Panda full sentence album titles we know and love. |

Vastly undervalued Cocteau Twins LP. Robert Christgau hated it, and he probably knows better than I do. The LP shares its name with a peak in Utah called Bluebell Knoll. |

Playing the Crocodile on April 25th. LIVE on KEXP earlier that day at 1PM. Wild Nothing's third LP, Life of Pause, came out last month on Captured Tracks. |

Referencing Jack Nance's amazing haircut for the movie Eraserhead, which he was forced to keep for the entirety of the filmshoot. That guy had some dedication. Or Lynch bullied him into it. |

From the 2009 Cotton Jones LP Paranoid Cocoon. Suicide Squeeze records has had some amazing bands on their roster, including Black Moth Super Rainbow, Elliott Smith, Modest Mouse, & Melvins. |

New LP described by NPR as a mix of "blue-eyed plastic soul and a dramaturge's take on electronic music," which sounds like a compliment if there ever was one. Also P4K-approved. |

Sounds like, and is, a quite awful foot condition. DO NOT click on the Wikipedia for "club foot" thinking it's for the band. It's not. This album was positively reviewed by Pitchfork, if you're into that. |
